How to Protect Yourself from Ebola Virus

Brief History of the Ebola Virus

The Ebola virus first emerged in 1976 at Sudan and Zaire. It was subsequently named after the Ebola River in Zaire. The first outbreak of Ebola in both areas infected over 284 people, where half died. Few months after, another outbreak occurred in Yambuku where more people died.

The third strain of Ebola was identified in 1989 when it infected monkeys that were imported into Reston, Virginia, coming from Mindanao in the Philippines. The few people who were infected with this strain did not develop into Ebola haemorrhagic fever (EHF). The last known strain of Ebola, Ebola was discovered in 1994 in Cote d’Ivoire.

How Ebola virus affects us

For decades we have been warned with the seeming imminence of a lethal and endemic virus. The recent outbreak of Ebola in West Africa have resulted in 60% mortality of those infected.

When infected with the virus, it immediately destroys the immune cells that is responsible for depending our body from all forms of infection. The army that’s supposed to protect us is depleted in few days, the person becomes helpless.

The Ebola virus depletes immune cells – CD4 and CD8 T lymphocytes, which are crucial to the function of the immune system [5 Things You Should Know About Ebola]. The only way to overcome Ebola is to ensure that the initial attack of the virus on our immune systems does not cause it to rapidly deplete. If the immune system cannot cope with the initial attack, inflammation occurs which causes tiny blood vessels to burst, leading to complications and death.

Science have yet to understand how one can survive this outbreak, should it go pandemic. To date, there are no treatment or vaccine for Ebola. However, studies seem to suggest that genes and biological markers may help you overcome the virus. Particularly, a gene called Human Leukocyte Antigen-B, which makes a particular protein essential to the immune system [NCBI, 2007 Study].

How we get infected with the Ebola virus

Like the HIV virus, transference happens through blood or body fluid contact from an animal or person who is infected with the Ebola virus. This may include physically touching the person who is infected. People who cares for these patients are most susceptible.

Also, if you are over fatigue or has a very low immune system, you will likely contract the virus or any virus for that matter.

What Are the Symptoms of Ebola?

The Ebola virus shows up anywhere from 2 to 21 days after infection. As it destroys the immune system and organs, it eventually causes levels of blood-clotting cells (platelets) to fall, which can lead to severe and often times ugly bleeding.

The symptoms of Ebola is similar to Dengue. Dengue have become prominent in Asian and Latin countries like China, Honduras, Costa Rica, Mexico, Singapore, Laos, Malaysia, Fiji and Vanuatu, and the Philippines. There have been recent reports of the Dengue outbreak in France, Croatia, Portugal and Florida. This is the reason that the World Health Organization is very alarmed with the growing trends of the virus. Like the Ebola virus, Dengue has no vaccine or cure to date.

Initial Symptoms of Ebola virus:
● Fever
● Headache
● Muscle aches
● Sore throat
● Weakness
● Diarrhea

Advanced Stage of Ebola virus:
● Bleeding inside & outside of the body
● Difficulty in breathing
● Rash

How to prevent Ebola virus

If the patient has the virus already, intravenous intake of fluids and electrolytes is crucial. People should also avoid people suspected or infected with the virus already. Health workers need to wear masks, gloves, and goggles whenever they come into contact with people who may have Ebola.

If you have the symptoms of Ebola virus (or other virus like Dengue), the next best thing to do is to check for platelet count. This is a routine test that is done in few minutes and you can get the result in an hour. If the count has dropped, the patient should immediately be admitted to the hospital.

Since the Ebola virus attacks our immune system, it is important that we keep fit. More than exercise, we must ensure that our body has reached homeostasis that allows itself to combat any form of viral attack. We can do this by eating the right food and ensuring that our hormones, proteins are balanced and sufficient.

Reports now vary on the incubation of the virus. Officially it is 21 days until the symptoms shows, however there are reports and computation made which makes the incubation 42 days instead. If you suspect or may have contacted a person suspected of Ebola, you can prepare your body by increasing its immunity.

Although there are no official reports yet of patients being cured from Ebola, we have several testimonies on Dengue, which has similar symptoms with Ebola.

Taking at least 3 capsules a day of Laminine will equip the body of 22 full-chain Amino Acids and FibroBlast Growth Factor whose job is to rejuvenate cells or balance hormones, giving the body a sustainable health that can combat diseases.

What may not be coincidence is the rising and significant discovery of how FibroBlast Growth Factor (FGF) improves our immunity. FGF has receptors that signals our stem cells, hormones and proteins to reach its optimum health or homeostasis. It is only in most recent years that Pharmaceutical companies have begun to seriously take FGF into their mainstream ingredient [Gordon Research, 2014].

The outbreak in Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia has infected at least 1,600 people and more than 880 have died. [World Health Organization]. Ebola is the largest outbreak in history.
