The stem-cell-like function of Laminine
Our body’s natural repair mechanism is the stem cell. During the development stage, the embryonic stem cells (ES) is responsible for forming the vital organs of the body. However, as we age, the ES dissipates, leaving adult stem cells to maintain beyond what it has created. Thus in most cases, an intravenous or an oral supplementation becomes necessary. Unfortunately, stem cell therapy is very expensive.
An example is the billions of blood cells die each day. Despite daily occurrence, the body survives. It is because the body constantly produces new blood cells to replace those that died. Conversely, a person may not have enough stem cells or FGF in the body. This is commonly the result of a massive injury or aging. In most cases, this condition eventually leads to death. Of course, the person should have the right amount of protein nourishment for stem cells to do its job.
The good thing is that taking the bioactive peptide supplement (FGF and amino acids) aids cellular self-renewal. Consequently enabling damaged cells or organs to repair itself (NCBI – Roles of FGF).
